OUR RECORDINGS

We have recorded two albums so far, and are currently planning the third. On this page you can see details of:

You can also listen to our demonstration tracks, which can be played as streaming audio. All these come from the second album, and show what our live performances will be like.

The Music We Play

Fundamentally, the music we play is grounded in the rhythms of Latin America, but elements of jazz, classical and Celtic folk music have found their way into our compositions. We play a mixture of arrangements of pieces of predominantly folk music from a wide variety of Latin American countries, and our own instrumental compositions. We have also arranged some classic pieces by the Beatles, one of which - "Eleanor Rigby" -is on our second album.

Our music is approximately half instrumental, and half sung -- most of the songs being in Spanish, but one uses verses in the language of the Incas, Quechua, which is still spoken in large parts of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and the north of Chile and Argentina.

The countries covered in our repertoire include:

Bolivia
Brazil
Chile
Colombia
Cuba
Mexico
Nicaragua
Paraguay
Peru
Venezuela
